Our village school lies at the heart of the community, nestled in the Derbyshire hills. We aim to make the most of this stimulating environment whilst delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
Our children love being outside and all access forest school sessions on site, led by a trained specialist, allowing them hands on experiences whilst they further explore our natural environment.
We believe all our children are equally important and we encourage them to celebrate and recognise difference. We promote the values of respect and kindness, and children value the friendships they make at Brassington.
We have high expectations for all our children, and we encourage them to reach their academic and social potential as they learn knowledge and skills that prepares them for Secondary School and beyond.
I am proud to be Head of School of Brassington Primary and am privileged to work alongside a brilliant team of staff, parents, governors and the wider community.
We continue to build upon our high standards and reputation, and we continually strive to improve the quality of education and experiences we can provide for all our children.
Every member of my team truly cares for and nurtures every child. Being a small school affords us the privilege of having the time to know each child and family as they journey through their primary school years.
